Tribute bands Hardwired To Kill ‘Em All, 50 Shades of Green Day and Deftunes will take the stage to cover the iconic music of Metallica, Green Day and Deftones at the Grand Stafford Theater’s Tribute Night on March 23 from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Hailed for its 400-person capacity and full-service bar featuring classic cocktails and mezzanine seating, the 100-year-old Grand Stafford Theater is located in the heart of Downtown Bryan’s Cultural Arts District. Exceptional sound design, technology, professional lighting and acoustics reflect the theater’s redesign to offer the highest in production standards to local and touring performers.

Hardwired to Kill ‘Em All

Metallica, regarded by many as the face of American heavy metal, began in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. Houston-based band Hardwired to Kill ‘Em All is notorious for re-inventing the music of Metallica. Hardwired to Kill ‘Em All members Randy Alanis, Ignacio De La Torre, Nicolas Galletti and Jake Northam have been praised by fans for their entertaining performances, featuring classics such as “Enter Sandman,” “Nothing Else Matters” and “Battery,” among others. Songs from all of Metallica’s albums are played by the group, making Hardwired to Kill ‘Em All a must-see for Bryan/College Station heavy metal enthusiasts.

50 Shades of Green Day

In 1986, lead vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt formed the legendary American rock band, Green Day. The band soon became a threesome with drummer John Kiffmeyer, who was replaced by Tré Cool in 1990. Founded in December 2017, 50 Shades of Green Day authentically covers decades of Green Day hits. Consequently, members Sean Conroy, Blake Rizzo, Aaron Steinberg and Jeremy Vorheer have made a name for themselves as “Houston’s over the top Green Day tribute band.” Green Day fans are encouraged to witness 50 Shades of Green Day in action as they pay homage to legendary rock and roll.

The Deftunes

Formed in 1988, Deftones is an American alternative metal band from Sacramento, California, featuring Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham, Dominic Garcia and Sergio Vega, who replaced Chino Moreno. Known as one of the most experimental groups from the alternative metal scene, classics such as “Change (In the House of Flies),” the band’s most commercially successful single, and “Elite,” which received a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, attest to the group’s influence. Deftunes, a Houston Deftones tribute band, is expected to pledge allegiance in an exciting and reinventive way, with Jesse Tabango doing vocals, Antonio Sanchez on bass and backup vocals, Andy Diaz on guitar, Angel Perez on drums and Kirk Sanchez on keys and samples.

“Tribute Night” tickets are $5, which can be purchased at the door or online at https://bit.ly/2GiLNvM. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the bands will take the stage promptly at 8 p.m.
