On October 29, come out to Downtown Bryan’s Halloweentown for a free, fun-filled trick or treating event for kids and families, and then on November 2, celebrate Día de Muertos with live music, activities for the kids, food vendors and more.

Friday, October 29, 4 – 7 p.m.

In partnership with Bryan Broadcasting, Destination Bryan is delighted to host Halloweentown for the second year. Businesses in the downtown area will set up booths on Main Street, all fully decorated and ready for kids and families to stop by for candy and Halloween trinkets. Come early for first pick! In addition, let the kids loose on the crafts for more kid-friendly fun.

Photo booth stations spread out up and down the street make wearing your best costume a must! Get great snapshots of the whole family having Halloween fun! You might just win the costume contest, so prepare to strut your stuff on the runway!

Tuesday, November 2, 3 – 10 p.m.

Follow that fun evening up with another one at Casa Rodriguez’s Día de Muertos Celebration. The whole family can enjoy this free event filled with fun, food, and entertainment.

Día de Muertos is a Mexican holiday where families remember their deceased loved ones. Many celebrate by setting up ofrendas, or altars, filled with pictures of deceased family members, surrounded by their favorite foods and goodies and decorated with candles and bright marigolds. The day is viewed as a celebration where many remember and feel a connection to those who have passed on.

For the event, Casa Rodriguez will remember and celebrate those who have passed with their own ofrenda. Feel free to come dressed up for the event and paint your face like a sugar skull. You’ll find a variety of different vendors along with music from DJ Jammin Drew and activities for the kids.

Live music will begin at 7 p.m. with The Home Boyz. A Latin Tejano band that just put out their self-titled debut album, their music will get you on your feet to dance the night away.

Businesses in Downtown Bryan will open for dining and shopping during both events, participating with booths for the Halloweentown event and decorations for Día de los Muertos.

Since both of these events are Downtown Bryan Celebrations, all marked spaces in the downtown area outside of the street closures are available for free parking. You can also pay to park at the Roy Kelly Garage located across from the courthouse.

Celebrate fall and bring the whole family together in Downtown Bryan with Halloweentown and the Día de Muertos Celebration!
