Bryan Begins the Process: “Music Friendly” Designation Workshop

0

Bryan’s musical charm provides more than something to do on the weekends. Governor Greg Abbott has announced that a Music Friendly Community workshop will initiate the certification process for Bryan to earn the “Music Friendly” destination title. The Texas Music Office (TMO) and AdventGX will co-host the workshop at The Grand Stafford Theater on Oct. 18 at 6 p.m.

TMO Director Brendon Anthony will explain more about the Music Friendly Community designation and answer questions at the event. Musicians, venues and the general public are all welcome to attend. The event will provide participants with networking opportunities with the local music community and shows professionals in the music industry that Bryan is serious about music.

Thirty other Texas cities have earned this designation, which Abbott said will help develop Texas’ music brand and grow new businesses throughout the state. Questions and media inquiries can be directed to Jose Quintana at jose@adventgx.com, or Alyson Mullins at alysonagx@gmail.com.
