Experience a journey into a land filled with magic and adventure with the holiday classic, “The Nutcracker Ballet.” Acclaimed guest artists, along with talented dancers from across the Brazos Valley, will take the stage at Rudder Auditorium for three separate performances: one on Friday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m., and two on Saturday, Dec. 4, a matinee at 2 p.m. and an evening performance at 6:30 p.m.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Ballet Brazos’ annual production of “The Nutcracker.” Travel along with Clara and her Cavalier to the Land of Snow and the Land of Sweets in this magical evening full of Christmas nostalgia. Keep the tradition going or start a new one as you make memories with your family and loved ones!
Be sure to arrive a bit early to enjoy the Nutcracker Experience, where you’ll find a Nutcracker Storytime area, beautifully decorated trees, a photo booth to commemorate the occasion and of course the Nutcracker Market.
Ballet Brazos is a non-profit organization that works to fulfill its mission to “instruct, educate, and enrich young people and their audiences through the art of dance, and provide quality classical ballet performances” for members of the community to enjoy. They put on performances such as this to showcase local talent, inspire a new generation of dancers, and increase appreciation for the arts.
Show your support and enjoy a performance that is sure to be filled with magic and enchantment. Tickets can be purchased at the MSC Box Office or on their website. Prices range between $9 and $40. Those attending the event can park at University Center Garage for $5 per vehicle, cash only, or pay online beforehand for $6.50. Hourly parking is available at the Stallings Blvd Garage.
