Looking for a weekend kickoff prior to some fighting Texas Aggie football? Aaron Watson will be performing at Hurricane Harry’s on Friday, November 11 with special guest Hunter Hutchinson.

Performing hundreds of shows a year, Texas country music artist Aaron Watson has sold hundreds of thousands of tickets, hit the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, and is an independent artist with his own record label. He has collaborated with stars such as Willie Nelson, Dale Watson, Jack Ingram, and Bill Joe Shaver. His single, “That Look,” written for his wife, debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Country Digital Songs Chart and closed out the year as one of the most successful independent singles of 2014.

His newest album, “The Underdog,” is both an album title and a mission statement. The album revolves around three things that Watson holds close to his heart: family, faith, and friends. Featuring songs about love, faith, loss, and even a song inspired by Johnny Cash, his album has a song for any by Danielle Anthony mood or occasion. His songs, “Blame It On Those Baby Blues” and “Freight Train,” show Watson’s lighter sides, with themes of romance and road trips.

Opening for Aaron Watson is Texas Tech Senior, Hunter Hutchinson. After a tragedy struck his family, Hutchinson met Watson and his future was forever changed. He learned to play guitar when he was 17 and continued playing into college. One day, his fraternity brother uploaded a video of him singing to YouTube and with all of the positive feedback he received, he decided to pursue a music career.

In March 2015, Hunter released his first full-length album, “What Do You Say?,” which was produced with Aaron Watson. You can find his music on Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon. Opening for artists such as Josh Abbott Band, Eli Young Band, and Wade Bowen, this up-and- coming Texas country artist is a crowd-pleaser that Aggieland will love.
