Diving deeper into the spring semester, we look for ways to make our nights more eventful, yet still relaxing.

Alone-tonight movies

“Love Actually” (2003)
The intertwined stories in this movie will strengthen your single self esteem and might even provide advice for a potential relationship.

“Fatal Attraction” (1987)
This drama/thriller might hint that being single isn’t so bad.

“Chasing Amy” (1997)
This comedy-drama will highlight ridiculous, not-as-common issues in a twisted relationship in which the characters would definitely rather be single!

Third date movies

“Up” (2009)
This Pixar film and any other like has already become a go-to for a couple that can’t decide on a movie, or want to keep it light and comic.

“The Princess Bride” (1987)
This is another classic that takes viewers through a love battle across hills and planes to unite the princess with a common man.

Any film starring Audrey Hepburn
Though Hepburn portrays romance in drastically different ways, going back in time might be just what you need to romanticize a new relationship.

Spring break movies

“Thelma & Louise” (1991)
This drama is a default for friends spending the holidays together and looking to make more memories, and be reminded that friendships do, in fact, last forever.

“Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” (2005)
This is another classic that was most popular with friends growing up, seeking a pair of jeans that could fit multiple girls. Most groups realized that puberty does not allow that luxury; however, a reminder of lasting relationships is always a nice watch.

Graduation

“Legally Blonde” (2001)
If there’s a movie that epitomizes the excitement of college and the ins-and-outs of college relationships, this is it.

“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (1986)
This is a classic that reminds us all to take a day off and just enjoy in the midst of school stress.

“Pitch Perfect” (2012)
Though not all of us are aca-mazing singing voices, we do appreciate cinematic competitions that we later use as backing tracks in the shower. This is another movie that takes a break from college stress to put on a great show.
