Earth Day in the Brazos Valley

0

Earth Day will be celebrated April 21. Come embrace the most beautiful woman in the world, Mother Nature!

Earth Day is actually on Sunday April 22, when the world will unite towards a common just goal. This day is held to support  more environmentally friendly habits, along with landscape and wildlife protection.

This year is all about ending the End Plastic Pollution Countdown, which is one  way we can clean up and clean out our oceans and land.

Earth Day is the world’s largest environmental movement, with every continent coming together for the greater good of humanity, to take care of  our home for generations to come.

We can help to end plastic pollution and the  nasty detrimental effects that it wreaks on the beautiful wonders of our earth. Do your part by learning how to help educate both yourself and your surrounding friends, family and community.

Although Earth Day actually takes place on the 22nd,  on Saturday April 21 from 11a.m. to 3p.m. there will be an Earth Day Celebration at the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater.

A multitude of educational booths, environmental music, live entertainment, complimentary refreshments, snacks and even a designated kid-zone titled the Bounce Zone (of fun). Some of the popular sponsors at attending this event will be Candy 95, KBTX, HEB, Lamar Advertising and Suddenlink Media.

This fabulously free event also will have accessible available parking across the street at the Post Oak Mall, as well as along Colgate Dr. however, absolutely no parking will  be tolerated in the Sears parking lot. If interested in VIP Parking options, as well as other fun perks, feel free to contact the Brazos Valley Earth Day Association on their official website at brazosvalleyearthday.com.

A few of the popular agencies hosting this event are the Cities of Bryan and College Station, Keep Brazos Beautiful, Twin Oaks Landfill & Compost Facility, Texas A&M Recycling and the Brazos Valley Council of Government.

Come on out, support your home and celebrate the 23rd Annual Brazos Valley Earth Day Festival.
