Concerts on Carter Creek: Emily Pulley

0

Join Bryan’s First Presbyterian Church in welcoming talented opera singer and BCS native Emily Pulley. Pulley, a highly accomplished soprano, will be performing as a part of the church’s free concert series, Concerts on Carter Creek, on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 5 p.m.

Pulley is a graduate of West Texas A&M University, and holds a master’s degree in voice from the University of North Texas, focusing on opera performance. Since then, her career has taken her far and wide, and she’s performed in over 150 operas, including with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. In 2006, she was a recipient of the Christopher Keene Award from the New York City Opera. Now, she’s returning to Bryan-College Station to perform for the community.

Concerts on Carter Creek was originally created to spread the joy of highly talented musicians with the community, and 2019-2020 marks its 37th concert season. Concerts take place in the church sanctuary and make use of the extraordinary acoustics, and many concerts feature an opportunity to meet and interact with the performers afterwards. The church is handicapped-accessible, free childcare is available and you do not have to be a member of the church to attend.
