One of the best things about the holiday season is getting cozy and watching Christmas movies together. Whether you bring a blanket to the movie theater or pop some hot coco in your microwave at home, a good movie can make all the difference.

 

IN THEATERS CHRISTMAS DAY:

Two Christmas films will be playing Christmas day for more adult Christmas festivities.

 

“OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY” (RATED R)

A lot is at stake for Clay, an office manager who is trying to save his own job and his employees’. This committee follows Clay (T.J. Miller) as he tries to throw a Christmas party big enough to impress a big time client. If the deal fails, Clay will lose everything.

 

“BAD SANTA II” (RATED R)

Billy Bob Thornton returns as Willie Soke in “Bad Santa II,” but this time with a whole new agenda. Willie and his dwarf sidekick team up to pull of a heist to rob a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve. However, Willie’s heart starts to change when he finds himself falling for the charity’s director.

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE (PG, 1946)

You can never watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” too many times. James Stewart stars as George Bailey in this holiday classic. When George Bailey decides life would be better for everyone if he weren’t in it, it takes an Angel to show him how wrong he really is. This movie will leave everyone feeling blessed this holiday season.

 

JINGLE ALL THE WAY (PG, 1996)

Take a trip back to the ‘60’s in this hilarious Christmas comedy. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Howard Langston, a dedicated father who tries to buy his son a Turbo Man doll on Christmas Eve, only to find they are sold out everywhere. Children and adults will all enjoy this entertaining comedy, which reminds us what the holidays are really all about.

 

“ELF “(PG, 2003)

Elf is everyone’s favorite when it comes to feel-good family fun. Will Ferrell is Buddy the Elf in this laugh-out-loud comedy. Follow along as Buddy returns from the North Poll to find his human father. He finds out that people aren’t quite the same as elves and creatures in Santa’s Workshop, but they love just the same.

 

“THE POLAR EXPRESS” (G, 2004)

Don’t let the rating fool you, even adults will love this animated Christmas film. Robert Zemeckis directs this magical film, which follows a young a boy’s journey on the Polar Express, a mystical train that picks him up outside his house on Christmas Eve. Alan Silvestri delivers the movie’s score, an enchanting mix that gives the story life. The Polar Express will spread Christmas spirit to anyone who’s watching.

 

Whatever you choose to watch this holiday, be sure to cozy up and be merry.
