BVSO Premiere Market

Local events are the absolute best aren’t they? Spring is rolling in and that means the annual Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra Premiere Market is here!

Now about to finish up its 37th season, the BVSO has been bringing stellar musical events to our community for a very long time, and it’s time to let them know how much we appreciate them. Premiere Market is not only enjoyable for the family but also supports a number of BVSO events throughout the year, including their annual Children’s Concert, 4th of July Outreach event and the Symphony Goes To School program.

So come down to the Brazos Center in Bryan on April 5 and 6, on Friday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.  and on Saturday from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. A $5 ticket gains you admission on either Friday or Saturday. To attend both days, the tickets are $15, and the admission includes a Friday morning special event: Muffins and Mimosas from 9 to 11 a.m.

With over 50 peer-reviewed merchants, this market will have some of the highest quality items for sale. According to Nika Hancock, Director of Communications and Marketing  for BVSO, “This event is a great way to make your dollars work overtime and to ‘double good.’ You have access to buy awesome gifts, and items for yourself or home, as well as knowing that those dollars count for more by supporting a fantastic non-profit.”

Some prime items that will be sold at the market are kitchen and home accessories, clothing, hats for Derby Day, gourmet foods, jewelry, toys, and hot off the press books like “The River and The Wall” by Ben Masters and so much more. From 4- 6 p.m. on April 5 the market will host the Happiest Hour with live music by Big Apple Trio, drinks for purchase, and a complimentary bread and cheese table. Come Saturday morning for Bacon and Bloody Mary’s to kick off the day from 10 a.m. to noon as well as breakfast specials whipped up by Epicures. We’ve also been told the Easter Bunny might hop by around 1 – 3 p.m. on Saturday.

BVSO promises this to be an event not to miss, so as Chair member David Woodcock says, “Come on out for an exciting and upbeat atmosphere… there’s something for everyone!” Bring the whole family and find the perfect gifts for Easter, Graduation, Mother’s Day and summer weddings, all while supporting our local symphony.

You can find tickets online at www.premieremarket.org or buy them at the door.
