Despite the unusual events of 2020, BCS has had no shortage of holiday events this winter. Century Square is hosting two fun days of festivities sure to keep you entertained and even help you check some things off your holiday bucket list.
On Wednesday, Dec. 16, Century Square Cinema will be showing The Grinch on The Green at 7 p.m. Come early to hang out with Holly and Jolly the elves, who are traveling all the way from the North Pole to greet visitors! They will be sharing updates from Santa and singing Christmas carols from 6 p.m. until the movie starts. Century Square encourages guests to bring blankets and chairs, and socially distanced circles will be painted on the turf to help you keep a safe distance between you and other guests. While no outside food or drink is allowed, you can order food from one of Century Square’s restaurants to-go and enjoy it on The Green, and Hopdoddy Burger Bar offers various alcoholic beverages that can be enjoyed on The Green as well.
If you’re in need of just the right gifts for your loved ones, Century Square is hosting the Holiday Artisan Market on The Green on Sunday, Dec. 20, from 12-4 p.m. Browse all kinds of products from local Brazos Valley artisans and pick up some unique gifts your friends and family will love, while at the same time supporting local businesses. For the list of local artisans, check out the market’s FB page. Bring the whole family (be sure they don’t see what you buy for them!) and grab a bite to eat at one of Century Square’s restaurants while you’re there.
Take these opportunities to get outside and have a little holiday fun, safe and socially distanced of course. Then, you can check “watch a Christmas movie with the family” and “last minute Christmas shopping” off of your holiday bucket list!
