Christmas Break means many things to many different people. Whether you’re the kind to fully embrace the holidays with decorated Starbucks cups and non-stop Christmas music, or if all Christmas means to you is extra hours of much-needed sleep, there’s one thing we can all agree on: Netflix is a wonderful thing during the break. We all know the guilt that comes with watching twenty hours of your favorite show when you are suppose to be studying, working, or doing anything productive at all. But holiday binges are different. You can binge in peace. Here are a couple to get you started:

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS

If you gagged after reading the title, then skip this one. “Pretty Little Liars” isn’t for everyone, but more people found pleasure in this dramatic series than you’d think. Most, however, quit watching after season three, when the liars lost and found “A” for the millionth time. Seasons four, five, and six are mainly the same plot of finding the culprit only to be wrong again, but they are still worth the watch if you enjoy cliché romance, drama, and “Gossip Girl.” The liars are finally coming to a close once season 7B airs in August, letting PLL fans rest once and for all. “Pretty Little Liars” is the kind of mindless binge that will take you through an entire day without even leaving the comfort of your bed.

GREY’S ANATOMY

For most people, “Grey’s Anatomy” is a familiar show that is always a safe bet when nothing else is on. However, there is a lot of merit in watching the show from premiere to close. The show does a good job of having individual plots with each episode while also maintaining an overall plot throughout. Fans say you can gain an entire new perspective of the show by starting with season one. While nothing is set in stone yet, rumor has it that season 13 will finally put an end to the second longest medical drama on TV. There’s no better time like the present.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER

“How I Met Your Mother” is another show that can be watched episode to episode or sporadically, but the show’s biggest fans claim the only way to truly get everything out of the series is to watch it from beginning to end. “How I Met Your Mother” is light, funny, and entertaining: perfect for the holidays. Most episodes won’t leave you dragging your feet until you watch another, so this is a good choice if you don’t have hours and hours to lie in bed at one time.

NETFLIX ORIGINALS

Netflix has been blowing viewers away with their outstanding original series, such as “House of Cards,” “Making a Murderer,” and “Orange is the New Black.” Any of these are great choices for a good old fashion Netflix Binge. However, be warned that none of these shows are necessarily family friendly.

If you’re looking for a great movie for the whole family, you can never go wrong with “Christmas with the Kranks” or “Miracle on 24th Street,” which are both available on Netflix.
