When students step on campus on Aug 30th, they will have some local faces waiting to greet them. Brazos Valley This Morning is taking their show on the road and setting up at the Military Walk on Texas A&M campus.
Steve Fullhart, Barbara Smith ‘91 and Shel Winkley ‘07 host the show, which runs from 5:30-7:00 a.m. for all you early risers. This marks the first time in more than five years that BVTM will host an entire show live from campus.
“I have so many great memories [on campus], and the first day of the fall semester is such an exciting time. There’s just such an energy on campus that it makes for a great way to start the day,” Smith said.
The guests set to appear on the show include Student Body President Jacob Robinson, the Yell Leaders, and even Texas A&M’s first lady herself, Reveille.
“[BVTM on campus] gives us an opportunity to reach out to a set of folks we hope will start their days with us this year,” Winkley said.
The show will be open to the public and guests might even have a shot of getting on the air.
“Typically, we don’t get out of the studio often, so any opportunity to go live from a remote site is fun,” Smith said. “I think we’ll feed off of the energy from being on campus.”
The Military Walk just underwent some significant changes. Head out to BVTM on Aug. 30 to check out the show and see the new and improved Military Walk. For more information on BVTM visit KBTX.com/themorningshow.
