VERY cool article! I have followed Lindsey Sisk's career since her days at Arizona. I've greatly admired her play and achievements! Congratulations to Lindsey for being honored as CSM National Pitcher of the Week, and Big 12 Player of the Week! Well earned! Ms. Sisk is a special person. She's inspiring; she has worked hard, and dealt admirably with her challenges. I, too, have encountered unfortunate things "piling on", and have turned to faith, hoping for significance and revitalization. Ms. Sisk, in my view, will travel far in life, professionally and personally. I wish her and the Aggies great success in California this week, and beyond; I'm rooting for Texas A&M to be World Series Champions! Keep going, Lindsey! You ROCK...

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, which I respect, but I have to disagree with several points in this article. FACT: she has a beautiful voice, and puts on fabulous shows. She literally pours her heart and soul into her shows. FACT: she is an incredible piano player, one of twenty people in the nation accepted early-admissions to the Tisch Arts School in New York. Did Kesha, Miley, Britney, do that? Just think about that. Now the outfits, the messages, and the things she represent will be percieved differently by everyone. Some of her actions and views will be similiarly called freakish by some. That is for you to decide, but REAL TALK for a moment, please look up her live acoustic performances. Before all else, the woman IS a true and talented musician. And before you call her ugly, think for three seconds how you would feel if an entire website was dedicated to insulting the way you looked. I thought so.

Thanks for the interview. As a Mother with an 18 year old Filipino daugher who dreams of becoming a Hip Hop Artist with all the bad language and behavior I needed someone to help me understand her view of life. Your honesty is appreciated.

I, too, was very impressed with Christine Lindsay's book Shadowed in Silk. Compelling characters and as you said, terrific setting details.
Great list. Thank you.

And the audiobook version of Liz Curtis Higgs, where she NARRATES the story, is amazing! Congrats to those who made this list. I'd like to add The Colonel's Lady by Laura Frantz and Lily's Wedding Quilt by Kelly Marie Long as two other books I'd definitely have on my list. I am afraid I have not read the others on your list although they are by authors recognized for their craft. Diana Flowers and others have loved Christine Lindsay's debut book and I hope to read that soon! This inspires me to make up my own list! Thanks for sharing yours!
