Aggie Baseball and Softball Update

Texas A&M’s baseball and softball seasons are in full swing this season. No pun intended. Each team has had a successful first half of the season, but there are still some big games ahead to test the Aggies swinging skills. Aggie baseball is 23-11 overall with a 5-7 conference record. Conference play might have gotten off to a rocky start with a few tough losses to Kentucky and Vanderbilt, but the team is working hard to turn that around as they head into some important series against Alabama (April 13-15)  and Tennessee (April 21-23). Student radio station KANM presents the KANM Comeback Tour at the Grand Stafford Theater on April 8. KANM Student Radio is a fully student-run radio station located in the Memorial Student Center on Texas A&M’s campus. Album Review: More Life by Drake

Hip-hop/rap artist Drake released his highly anticipated album, “More Life” on March 18.  The release is branded as a playlist rather than album, but it quickly soared to the #1 top album on ITunes. The conceptual playlist is different than his previous releases and includes a mix of pop, club trap, and ambient R&B. New Republic Weekend Lineup: Glen Tate, Iron Rations, Emily Cole and Keith Kallina

One of Aggieland’s favorite backyard breweries, New Republic Brewery, is gearing up for another fun weekend full of local artists, great food, and delicious beer. Glen Tate will be kicking off the weekend on Thursday, March 23 at 7pm. Glen Tate is a Brazos Valley based singer-songwriter. Tate studied music education at Sam Houston State University and fronted a power pop ensemble called the Shortbus Superheros.
