Top 5 places to eat after 10pm

By Mallory Dykowski

It’s 10 pm. You’ve been studying since 6. All of the sudden, the hunger pangs in your stomach distract you. You can no longer concentrate on your math homework. But what are you going to eat?! You’re all out of Ramen noodles and you know all the cafeterias on campus are closed. You see the light at the end of the tunnel when you realize you’re in Bryan/College Station, with more late-night food options than your stomach can handle.
In the mood for Mexican food? No problem. The drive through at Taco Cabana, a borderline Aggie tradition, is open 24 hours and is located near campus on Texas Avenue. Scrounge up some change, because their tacos are only a buck. Even though it’s a fast food restaurant, their tortillas rival just about anyone’s.
IHOP is open 24 hours a day for any afterhours breakfast cravings. The International House of Pancakes also doubles for a great place to study. You will always come hungry and leave happy from the place that serves over 700 million pancakes a year.
At Gumby’s Pizza, orders can be placed by text, phone, or even online until 3 am. They offer daily deals like $0.50 pizza rolls every Wednesday and the “Gumby Give Away” on Fridays. These deals start at midnight the night before, so if you’re really hungry after a Thursday night out on Northgate… or from just studying in your dorm room, stop by Gumby’s and get two pizzas for the price of one.
Antonio’s Pizza on Northgate is extremely convenient for students living on-campus. Open until 1:30 am, it makes a great end to a full night of studying. Antonio’s offers a variety of toppings and specials, not to mention the speedy late-night delivery.
It’s no wonder why Fuego Tortilla Grill, open 24 hours a day, has received much praise and fantastic ratings. They have breakfast tacos all day for as little as $1.39, and if that doesn’t satisfy your hunger, you can get 4 steak tacos for just 10 bucks. Located at the corner of University and Texas, you don’t have to go far to indulge in authentic Mexican food.
Whatever your prerogative at 10, 11, 12, or even as late as 4 am, the restaurant choices in Bryan/College Station will certainly appease your cravings.
