Fido Run – Get off the park bench and join your dog in exercising at the See Spot Run2010 marathon being held Saturday Feburary 20th from 7:30 am – 9:30 am in order to raise money for traveling veterinary students attending symposiums, conferences, and all the other things that’ll make them wonderful veterinarians. The 3K race requires that you and fido run together and costs $15. The 5K is a doggies-are-optional run (but who doesn’t want a chance to tire out their dog?) and also costs $15. If you’re a diehard runner then registration for both races is only $20. Register soon! Information available at cvm.tamu.edu.

Fashionable AIDS – Now before you get your panties in a bunch let me say that this isn’t saying that AIDS is cool. This fashion show is the 4th Annual Catwalk for HIV/AIDS Awareness being held Thursday February 18th at Rudder Theatre. Come by for a great cause and see students strutting their stuff with the “latest fashions from local retailers” while you learn! Who thought that fashion and learning could be put in the same sentence?! This event will start at 7:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm. Of course, it’s free and open to the public so stop by and give it a shot. Who knows, you may even pick up some fashion pointers alongside some life saving pointers!
